Last time I stayed here it was called the Montri hotel. Staff are probably the best we encountered in our 6 week holiday. Great location in the old city.. Hotel is fine. We enjoyed staying here..

In the old days there was the JJ Bakery downstairs, now it is a dreadful Burger King. Breakfast wasn't great so we would go to the Cafe near the hotel. Bathroom could be a bit smelly sometimes, so we bought an air freshner..

Central to wall and great areas to visit. The hotel is clean and friendly. The breakfast was fine with options.

I did have trouble sleeping as I enjoy a firm bed, but this was an exceptional firm one.

The Buffet breakfast had been cancelled on our arrival. 🥲. 😤. No prior notification of this! Reception area toilets closed in the evening? Why?

Staff are excellent. They are kind, caring, polite, and professional. My room, even though older, was always clean and comfortable. Room service breakfast on my last day was delicious and freshly made. Airport service on departure was outstanding. Hotel M is very close to numerous restaurants, cafe's, massage parlours, public transport. It was so good I ended up extending my stay for another 3 weeks.

The tatty, smelly old carpet in the hallways and on the stairs. Even with stairwell windows open the musty dirty smell from the carpet when you open your room door was overwhelming. Apparently it is, one day, being replaced. Management should do this as a priority.
