Hi 👋 my experience here was very good. The attention we got from our UVC Concierge Isasti Alberto Juarez was amazing ! He was checking on us everyday to see what we needed what issues we were having and how to solve them the best that he could. We also had a chef Erick from carnival cafe buffet in the mornings who treated us amazing. He went above and beyond our expectations. Anything we needed he was the guy. From the perfected area around the 6x floor the only issue was that we didn’t get the nightly set up routine 3 days out of the 6 nights we were there. That was my only issue.

We had our wedding at Dreams/Secrets, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience! We had a group of about 50 family members ranging in age from 3 to 70, and this resort was perfect for everyone. We loved that our guests had the option to stay on either the Dreams or Secrets side depending on what they preferred. Our wedding coordinator, Celeste, was absolutely wonderful. One of the best parts of the entire experience was how much the hotel took care of for us. Planning a destination wedding can feel overwhelming, but they made the process so easy and allowed us to truly enjoy our special day. We took a leap of faith because we had never visited the resort before our wedding. We chose it based on recommendations and pictures, and honestly, the pictures don't even do this place justice! It was absolutely beautiful. We also loved the location. Being in the city gave us the opportunity to leave the property for excursions, shopping, and exploring, while still feeling extremely safe. Everyone we encountered was so welcoming, kind, and helpful. Our stay was wonderful, our wedding was absolutely beautiful, and the food and accommodations were fantastic. From our family members to our wedding guests, everyone had an amazing time. We are so thankful we took that leap of faith and chose Dreams/Secrets for such an important moment in our lives. We would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a beautiful destination wedding or vacation!

We've always loved Dreams resorts and Vallarta Bay is no exception. The proximity to the airport is a nice perk. The beach is nice though has some really rocky areas. We have noticed some cutback since the Hyatt acquisition - the room service menu is much smaller (really disappointed we couldn't start our day with chilaquiles in the room). The snacks/mini bar restock in the preferred rooms don't seem as robust. Most importantly, however, the service remains impressive! Carlos provided thoughtful and attentive butler service in the preferred lounge. Jorge was always really engaged with my son during breakfast at Carnival buffet. Emilio kept drinks flowing at the pool. And Carlos provided excellent service in the cabana. Finally Oliver and Benito provided a great send off lunch at Carnival before our trip back to the airport.

Very clean, fun pool, great food but night entertainment lacking. Beautiful resort and easy to walk around. Beautiful views. Loved that I had access to the lobby of the Secrets also for entertainment or drink at night.

If you want to unwind and relax with no worries, please come to visit Dreams at Vallarta Bay! We had an excellent time there. The staff were all wonderful to work with. The vibe is chill and relaxed and the amenities and restaurant options are top notch, too! While it's not as wild and crazy as Cancun, no worries, there are still events and activities that fill in the spaces of time between any tours and activities outside the resort, too. We had a great time at this resort and will come back again hopefully soon!

Our stay at this resort was incredibly disappointing, and unfortunately, there were multiple issues that made it very difficult to enjoy what was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation. The pools were so overcrowded that getting a chair became an early-morning competition. My husband would wake up around 7:00–7:30 a.m., and chairs were already filling up. By 9:00 a.m., it was nearly impossible to find an available chair. We were on vacation—not trying to win a race for a poolside seat before breakfast. A resort of this size should have enough seating and/or a better system in place so guests aren’t forced to wake up at the crack of dawn just to enjoy the pool. There were also concerns regarding cleanliness and overall attention to detail. The pool was visibly cloudy, which immediately made us question whether it was being properly maintained. We also discovered that the resort provides scented toilet paper. While this may seem like a small detail, fragranced bathroom products are unnecessary and can be irritating for some guests. For a resort that is supposed to prioritize comfort and hygiene, this was a very strange choice. During our stay, staff members asked us multiple times what we were celebrating. My husband and I shared that it was our anniversary yet nothing ever came about it. Not even a Happy Anniversary! Not a big deal.. If this is simply a standard question, that’s fine—but if guests are repeatedly asked what they are celebrating with the implication that it may be acknowledged, it was disappointing that nothing followed. Unfortunately, our concerns became even more serious during the trip. My husband became sick with significant gastrointestinal symptoms after dining at the resort restaurant, where he had sushi. This was the only meal he had that differed from the rest of our family. Shortly afterward, I also became extremely ill. I experienced repeated vomiting throughout the night. While we cannot say with certainty what caused our illnesses, the timing in relation to the meal was concerning. The most frustrating part is that this was supposed to be a vacation we could relax and enjoy. Instead, we spent a portion of our trip dealing with illness and issues that should not occur at a resort of this level. One person who absolutely deserves recognition, however, is Carlos from the pool staff. He was fantastic. He consistently made sure our entire family had drinks in hand and went above and beyond to take care of us. His attentiveness and genuine kindness stood out and were very much appreciated. Carlos is a great example of the level of service we hoped to experience throughout our stay. At the end of the day, we are happy to have experienced this trip but wouldn't be back again.

We were extremely disappointed with our experience, especially considering we paid approximately $14,000 for this vacation. The biggest issue was the service. At the Japanese restaurant, we waited 45 minutes just for our drinks. Our server, Sandra, took our drink order, disappeared, then returned about 35 minutes later acting as though she had never been to our table and took our order again. It then took another 20 minutes to receive our drinks. We spent nearly two hours at the restaurant for just two bowls of udon soup and one sushi roll, and the portions were surprisingly small. The resort’s VIP policies made us feel like second-class guests. We couldn’t order four pieces of sushi because that option was reserved for VIP members. There were only three covered canopies by the pool, and two of them were exclusively for VIP guests, leaving very little shaded seating for everyone else. Although signs clearly stated that guests could not reserve pool chairs, the rule wasn’t enforced. For the first two days of our stay, we couldn’t find any available chairs. We eventually found seats by the beach, but instead of being able to relax, we were constantly approached and harassed by beach vendors trying to sell us items. One of the most concerning experiences occurred when a member of our group suffered a large open wound to their elbow. We expected the resort staff to provide or at least help us access basic first aid, but they offered no meaningful assistance. In a situation involving an injured guest, the lack of urgency, concern, or support was both frustrating and disappointing. The elevators were overcrowded, and it often felt like you had to fight just to get on and off. The beds were extremely hard and too short, with our feet hanging off the end, making it difficult to get a comfortable night’s sleep. Carlos at the pool was also rude and dismissive, which only added to our negative experience. For the amount of money we spent, we expected attentive service, comfortable accommodations, and a resort that prioritized its guests. Instead, we encountered poor service, inconsistent policies, overcrowded amenities, and a lack of care when it mattered most. Unfortunately, this vacation did not come close to justifying its $14,000 price tag, and we cannot recommend this resort.
