It got the job done. The hotel was easy to find, 15-20 min walk from train station but also close to a tram line. I recommend getting on at Sihlquai/HB and hop off at quellenstrasse, the trams 17, 50 and 51 pass this every few minutes. The Hotel is around the corner. We stayed one night in zurich, to make it convenient to get to airport next day, 10 mins on train from the HB. I spent most of my one evening in zurich out and about so I didn't want to splash out on a hotel that I was only going to spend very little time in. It had free storage for suitcases which was handy because we arrived at 11 and check in is not till 3 so there was lockers free to put our luggage in and we were able to enjoy our day. The self check ins were also very easy and the rooms were very clean.

What I didn't like was the noise from outside, I think it was a generator or something continously humming out back all night so didnt really sleep, and the worst part of the room is that the bathroom walls are see through. You would want to be very comfortable with your boyfriend because he will see and hear you on the toilet and see you in the shower. There is also no femine bins so if you need a bin for your femcare products you'll have to put them into the open bin in the bedroom. It was exposing and uncomfortable and undignified. Lucky my boyfriend gave me some privacy and left the room and went for  a 10 min walk while I showered. We not together long and I just wasn't ready for him to see my bathroom habits LOL 😆 Also the TV was broke and I didn't see any staff members the whole time I was there.

Das Zimmer hatte weder, Tisch, Stuhl noch Schrank. Es waren lediglich zwei Kleiderhaken vorhanden. Keinerlei Ablagemöglichkeit. Die Dusch-WC-Kabine im Zimmer war so klein, dass sich ein erwachsener Mensch bei geschlossener Türe darin kaum umdrehen konnte. Für einen drei Nächte Aufenthalt erhält man pro Gast nur ein einziges Handtuch. Frische Handtücher kosten 25 CHF extra.

El calor que hacía era insoportable, fuimos en julio y el edificio absorbe muchísimo calor que no es capaz de expulsar. No cuentan con aire acondicionado. Tienen un pequeño ventilador claramente insuficiente. A pesar de abrir las ventanas por la noche y que hiciese más fresco en la calle, no conseguía bajar la temperatura de la habitación. Además el baño es súper incómodo, es parecido al de un avión, mismos materiales y mismo espacio. Además los techos eran más bajos en un lado de la cama por lo que te dabas en la cabeza fácilmente. Para colmo, nos tocaron unos indios al lado con unos niños muy ruidosos que se dedicaron a andar gritando por los pasillos pasadas las doce de la noche (con los padres en la habitación con la puerta abierta y no les decían nada, cómo si el hotel fuese suyo). Si bien es cierto que el personal vino a pedirles que dejen de hacer ruido amablemente ellos continuaron.

Good location real close to the bus and train stations. Luggage storage is great, but code locks are living their own lives, it was quite a quest to type any code on it twice... No-human-check-in worked just fine for me, but other guest at the same time (an older couple) had some troubles understanding what the machine wants from them till i came to the resque :D

Real hot. It was hot season (not the heatwave, but still), and sunny side of the street - "the weather" inside was... a bit too much for me. The big (a quite noisy) fan provided to make it better, and it kinda did, but frankly saying it's not a solution. Air conditioning is only done in the lobby, and outside unit is not placed actually outside, but meets you in the first room when you step into the building... Experience you'll never forget... Bathroom is really small, good enough to take a shower tho'. And shower head holder was broken - minor, but unpleasant detail.

The room was exceptionally small with no storage room at all for any belongings. Equally, I was charged a fee to be able to check in only 30 minutes early
