Excellent location! Walking distance to Almaty attractions: Arbat, Park 28 Panfilovtsev, Ascension Cathedral, Green Bazaar, public transport stops, metro station 'Zhibek Zholy', lots of cafes and snack bars. Very polite, friendly staff, responsive to any request. Good, quite varied breakfasts.

From a 4-star hotel, you expect a higher quality of service. For example, bathrobes, hair conditioner (none of this was in the room, although I booked a deluxe room). For a hotel positioning itself as 4 stars, and even for deluxe rooms, it would be appropriate to greet guests with a fruit bowl or other compliments from the hotel as a gesture of hospitality. The carpeting in the corridors and in the room, the furniture and bedding were already quite tired, as if at the end of their service life. Also, there were no notes in the room for guests with necessary phone numbers, a list of hotel services, etc. These may be small shortcomings, but they smear the overall very pleasant impression of the hotel.
