Maalesef otel odamız temiz be bakımlı değildi. İlk içeri girdiğimizde yaptığımız ilk iş camları açıp havalandırmak oldu, yüzeysel bir temizlik yapılmış. Asansör ise gayet yetersiz kalıyordu , çoğu zaman merdivenleri kullanmak zorunda kaldık.

It's definitely on the touristy side of town but since it was our 2nd visit to Amsterdam after 30 years, we didn't mind. We had a beautiful view of the Central train station from our room and we could not get enough of it. It's an old hotel but the rooms and bathrooms are quite modern. We also enjoyed the hotel breakfast, which was quite extensive by European standards.

Do not ever take a taxi here in Amsterdam- they charge 50 euros whether your destination is near or far. Just take an UBER - it's cheaper and safer.

Unser Aufenthalt im Viktoria Hotel Amsterdam war leider eine große Enttäuschung und entsprach in keiner Weise unseren Erwartungen an ein 4-Sterne-Hotel dieser Preiskategorie. Bereits bei unserer Ankunft mussten wir feststellen, dass sich im gesamten Fensterbereich unseres Zimmers ein Baugerüst befand und umfangreiche Bauarbeiten durchgeführt wurden. Über diese Situation wurden wir weder vor Reiseantritt noch bei unserer Ankunft an der Rezeption informiert. Besonders enttäuschend war, dass uns somit die Möglichkeit genommen wurde, selbst zu entscheiden, ob wir unter diesen Umständen überhaupt in diesem Hotel übernachten möchten. Nachdem wir uns an der Rezeption beschwert und um ein anderes Zimmer gebeten hatten, wurde uns zugesichert, dass die Bauarbeiten noch am selben Tag um 17 Uhr beendet sein würden. Diese Zusage stellte sich als falsch heraus: Auch am nächsten Tag gingen die Bauarbeiten unverändert weiter. Erst am späten Abend des zweiten Tages wurde uns schließlich ein anderes Zimmer angeboten. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war ein Umzug für uns jedoch nicht mehr zumutbar. Ich war allein mit drei Kindern unterwegs, und ein Zimmerwechsel hätte bedeutet, sämtliche Koffer und persönlichen Gegenstände erneut ein- und auszupacken. Bei einer Aufenthaltsdauer von insgesamt nur vier Nächten hätten wir dadurch weitere wertvolle Urlaubszeit verloren. Hinzu kam, dass unser Vertrauen in die Zusagen des Hotels inzwischen vollständig verloren gegangen war. Die Bauarbeiten dauerten während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts an. Besonders unangenehm war zudem, dass sich Bauarbeiter direkt vor unseren Fenstern befanden. Dadurch fühlten wir uns in unserem Zimmer weder ausreichend privat noch sicher. Aufgrund dieser erheblichen Beeinträchtigungen baten wir das Hotel zumindest um eine angemessene Entschädigung. Als Angebot wurden uns lediglich Punkte für das Radisson-Hotelprogramm unterbreitet. Wir können das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.
