The room we were given. Advertised as twin bed room. It was an invilide room with wet room. Tiny sink about 2 foot off the floor with no plug. Red pull cords everywhere. Plus they started hoovering at about 4am for 30min or spo

Summary: Bad parking experience, low quality entrance and reception, tiny bathroom where the door hit the toilet, noisy traffic all night, 20 minute drive out of Manchester for city prices. More: Car park was very dark and no signs, hard to find where to park for hotel vs restaurant. The "hotel reception" is just the bar. The restaurant has it's own greeting station, but the hotel "reception" was a till at the end of the bar, I had to walk past the restaurant greeting station and through the bar to check in at the bar like I was ordering a drink. The climb to the room was up two levels (4 sets of stairs) and were incredibly steep. I live in a Victorian house with very high ceilings and steep stairs, but this was a horrible climb. The hotel room's bathroom door didn't open fully as it hit the toilet. This made it hard to get in. The sink was also behind the door so I had to open the door, squeeze in and close the door, just to use the sink. The sink was tiny too, my hand stretched out touched all the sides of it. The toilet was very low. The toilet paper was on the wall behind the toilet, so I had to reach all the way around with one hand to get it, and couldn't use the other arm/hand to tear some off. The bathroom being tiny meant when sat on the toilet the wall and radiator was about 5 inches from my face. One side of the window was broken with the latch snapped off sat on the window sill. The other side I could only open a tiny bit, given there was no air con it was very hot in there. The room was next to a main road, so loud traffic noise all night long. For the price it was a long way out of Manchester, not amazing bathroom, and noisy. For me this was worth about £89, maybe £99 as it was Saturday. I think the price was £140 simply because it was Saturday night.
