Great breakfast on a terrace overlooking downtown. In an old colonial building but with All the modern conveniences. High above most of the road noise. Comfortable bed, large room with nice furniture. In a walkable area- we were able to walk to the Egyptian Museum. Our room had a balcony! Staff is so kind and helpful.

Downtown Cairo is a bit dirty and gritty. If that will bother you this might not be the best location for you.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very good, and the hotel was very clean. Maroon was especially helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. If we visit again, we will definitely choose this hotel!

Lovely old characterful building. Location was very central. Easy walking to shops, the Nile, museum. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient, especially Mustafa and Kareem. Breakfast was plentiful with great variety and lots of filtered water to access at all times. Lovely old world feel inside - especially in the bedrooms on level 4.

Would have been helpful to have a clothesline for drying washing inside and 2 luggage racks. We made do with using furniture and a piece of string. There is street noise with cafes below that trade until the early hours. We loved observing from our balcony and with ear plugs the noise was manageable.
