The building already old, but the room and bed are okay. Also the amenities. The price IDR 1.250.000 for superior twin without breakfast are not worthy. You can definitely get IDR 700.00 hotels and that already included with breakfast. We expect to swim in the pool for adult, but again, we dissappointed. The pool is not as big as in the picture. It is also a bit old, and full with parents that brought their kids to swim there. In addition to that, all these parents are sits overlooking to the pool like they're watching a movie. I decided not swim as this is really uncomfortable. The hotel management should restricted this practise, considering how small the pool is. The parents should bring their kids to swim at kids pool. We also managed to look around the hotel area, especially the back, only to find the dirty, unmaintenanced beach and no greeneries at the back of the hotel. Instead, there is a jet ski academy that blocked guest to directly walked to the beach. Its so sad situation considering this hotel used to be a nice hotel in Ancol area. I would say, please the management, use the money you get from the guest to taking care of the facility, such as pool and your backyards. If it stay like this, your business will not be sustain.

Very dated and tired looking hotel and room. It almost looked closed when we arrived. Had to pay entry to Ancol too.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Mercure Convention Center Ancol. The room was fine, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very generous, with a really good variety of food. The location within Ancol is convenient and was perfectly fine for us. One thing that could have been explained more clearly was the complimentary Ancol entrance for hotel guests. Guests can receive two free entrance tickets, but this information was not very obvious before our arrival. The relevant email often ends up in the spam folder, so clearer information before arrival would definitely have been very helpful. Apart from that, we were satisfied with our stay and would consider staying here again.

The only small downside at breakfast was the fruit- or mango-flavoured water, which was not really to our taste. It can also get quite crowded at weekends, especially during breakfast.
