No lift, but stuff is helpful to bring suitcases to the 3rd floor

The hotel has exelent location, right in heart of old city.. The staff is so friendly and helpful! Eldar and Kamran did their best for us! Raya and Cemale prepared tasty breakfast and made sure that we have everything in our room from tea/coffee/water to shampoo and shower gel ( even though we had advised that we didn't need cleaning services...) We found even small toothpaste and toothbrushes in the bathroom! It was sooow nice!! The price for hotel surprised affordable!!!! So.. Highly recomment this hotel!

Kamran at the reception was exceptionally helpful. He was very pleasant and even helped us carry our bags to the roadside at checkout. Other staff were also quite pleasant. Room was of decent size and could accommodate three of us comfortably. Breakfast was adequate though repetitive. It will be quite boring for extended stays. Sufficient towels were also provided. Some of the towels were a bit frayed; but everything was clean. Location is excellent, allowing you to roam inside the old city as much as you wish. Overall the hotel has a cozy feel and its good value for money.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The below points are not complaints, it is more for the information of future travelers to help them make an informed decision. Wi-fi was not working in the room most of the time. They said they're aware of the issue and is waiting for the technical issue to be fixed. This was problematic for us as we had not taken a local mobile connection. Our room was overlooking a narrow road corridor and hence did not have much sunlight. Also, we couldn't keep the curtains open as the adjacent place seemed to be the dining room of another hotel. Our room had a very small air conditioner which was totally inadequate for the hot weather in Baku. It would take a long time to even marginally cool the room. Also, the place with the extra cot remained hot as the air from the AC unit would not blow in that direction. Toiletries are of average quality. If you're staying for an extended period, would be better to carry your own soap and shampoo. There are steps leading up to the hotel from the street. Also, the hotel does not have an elevator. Climbing up and down is mandatory for room and dining area access. If you have difficulty walking and using stairs, this will be a problem. Lastly, the hotel is located inside the old town and normally cabs do not come inside. There is a toll to enter into the old town and cab drivers charge a high amount if you ask to be dropped inside. The official toll is only AZN 3 for 15 minutes, but most of them will take at least AZN 10 from you. Cabs will drop you just outside the barrier and its just a couple of minutes walk to the hotel. However, if you are hailing a ride using Bolt or Yango, better to book the cab once you're at the barrier. Its a no-waiting zone and the security at the barriers do not allow cabs to wait.
