The self check-in process was extremely complicated and communication was very poor. I had to provide a large amount of personal information, including photos of my ID, address, email and phone number, and then waited a long time for check-in instructions. When I finally entered the room, another guest was already staying there, even though I had booked accommodation for myself and was not informed that I would share the room. Both of us were shocked. I repeatedly tried to contact the property but received no response for a long time. Eventually I was told there had been a mistake and that I should cancel the booking to receive a refund. The room was also old, worn and unclean, and in my opinion it did not match the photos shown online. I am also very concerned about how my personal data and ID documents are being handled. I requested that my identification documents be deleted. I strongly recommend that Booking.com investigate this property, especially its check-in procedures and handling of guests’ personal data.
