Great location, very easy to go downtown as it’s near a bus stop and sky train for a good value

If breakfast is included that would be amazing.

Close to groceries, food and public transport. My room was spacious with a full bathroom.

This is not the booking I paid for. Clearly the building has been sold so I was placed in an adjacent building. My room was big and I was grateful for the private internal bathroom but there was no hair-dryer, toaster or washing machine as per my booking. The lady who met me on day 1 was not to be found again. I was given no explanation for the changes.

The location is in a very quiet residential area. Shopping center with groceries within 5 minutes walking distance. With an Uber, you can reach the city in 10 minutes.

The wooden house is incredibly noisy. From 5 am, it was almost impossible to sleep on most days. The facilities and floors were in need of repair and posed a risk of injury. The house smelled strange. Above the air conditioner, the window was hastily closed with a chipboard. Drafts came through the edges. At 8 degrees Celsius outside temperature, the heater could only raise the room temperature to 18 degrees Celsius. Upon arrival, there was no one responsible. We took a long time to find our room. There are 2 adjacent houses that offer about 15 rooms. The shower room, about 2 sqm, was only separated from the room by a completely broken folding door.

Walking up the stairs because it looked nice was the only moment I liked. On the door was a handwritten note that said to go to room 345 and we couldn't find it anywhere, we even looked in the backyard. Then a non-English speaker showed us to go to the "House" next door.

Absolutely disgusting! Nothing like the pictures showed. We slept one night and bought a ticket to go home the next day because any other room in Vancouver was $350 a night. We paid for three nights. The walls were paper-thin, and we had to listen to a bunch of men hooting and hollering the entire time. At 9 pm I finally knocked on the door and they politely apologized and left for the night. Then at 1:15 am, the same men were arguing outside our room with "Linda" talking loudly too about who owned rent and who was supposed to be there. TOO MUCH DRAMA I called ahead and asked what kind of coffee maker they had and she told me they had a Keurig and they didn't! The couch was totally stained, the place smelled like urine, the lamps that had bulbs wouldn't work, The kitchenette in the hallway was piled with dirty dishes, even the pictures on the walls were crooked. No smoke detector, colorful sayings on the lamp fixtures that don't work.

It is easy to go downtown with just one train from the airport, and there are plenty of restaurants around. Also, the owner is a kind person. During a one-week trip, I also went to Seattle, and when I asked if I could stay here again, he kindly agreed to keep my luggage. There was a unique smell at first, but I gradually got used to it and didn't mind it at all. Check-in and check-out were very easy, and the price was reasonable, so I would like to stay here again if I have the chance.

The water pressure is fine, but it would be nice if there were also places to hang the shower head higher.
