The staff was better at speaking English and more friendly than a 5-star hotel! The location was great for touring inside the ancient city, so I plan to revisit if I go again.

The staff at the hotel are nice and helpful but it may not be easy to find the location of the hotel without the assistance of the hotel staff.

Small quaint clean, comfortable, in the heart of "Old City". Language barrier is pretty high, but staff can't do enough for you. Only a few places to stay have English-speaking help beyond basic. Food service for their breakfast is not a strong suit for them but passable. I give them high marks on everything at a very fair price. I would go back.

When we checked in, the staff was kind as if they were family. We arrived very late in the ancient city, but they still came out to meet us! They kept making tea for us, which made me feel really warm.

The location is a bit difficult to find, and the toilet was clogged, but the housekeeper helped us change to another room to solve the problem.

The bed and toilet are clean and comfortable. The room is really big. Free tea and tea-making equipment are ready in the room. The hotel is right inside the ancient city. The staff are more than happy to share local information and recommend trustworthy local tours. We joined a local tour recommended by them. The experience was pretty good. We arrived at the hotel very early, around 7 am, because of the train schedule. Then, we checked in very early. It was very heartwarming. I personally recommend having your Lijiang trip with this hotel.
