Unfortunately, our overall experience at The Parker Hotel Vancouver was disappointing, especially considering we chose the hotel for our anniversary. We informed the hotel in advance that we were celebrating our anniversary. They kindly provided a bottle of wine, which we appreciated. However, that was essentially the only acknowledgment. I even told them that we were happy to pay for any available anniversary arrangements or extras, but I never received a response. The biggest problem was the complete lack of consistency and communication. I completed the pre-arrival process through the link they sent, but when we arrived, it seemed that none of it had been applied and we had to go through everything again. The same happened with the pre-checkout process. There seems to be very little unity between their online procedures and what actually happens at the hotel. Communication was extremely frustrating. The housekeeping line was almost always busy, the front desk barely answered the phone, and callbacks simply did not happen. Items such as slippers and other basic amenities are apparently available only upon request, but requesting anything becomes difficult when nobody answers. Another thing that left a very poor impression was the approach toward room amenities. The card in the room states that each L’Occitane amenity taken home will result in a $60 charge to your account. I understand charging for full-size hotel products if guests take them, but the wording and presentation felt more like a warning or threat than hospitality. It certainly did not create a welcoming luxury-hotel experience. The hotel’s online photos were also misleading in our experience. We saw a pool photo when reviewing the property, yet there is no swimming pool at the hotel. Guests should be able to rely on hotel photos to understand what facilities are actually available.

This time the bed was very hard and painful, Parking can be cheaper $60 is a lot to pay for overnight parking
