A really unwelcoming receptionist who seemed to put in all efforts to make our check-in difficult, noisy AC (had some malfunction so generated loud sound when working). Very poor sound insulation.

No option for non-valet parking, complicated procedure for claiming breakfast (having to go downstairs and then back up, wait in line etc.). shower was cold on second day.

Extremely disappointing experience – $1,000+ tied up and no proper response I stayed at Hotel Angeleno from October 15 to 16, booked through Booking.com, and my experience with the hotel’s payment handling and customer service has been extremely frustrating. More than $550 USD was charged to my credit card, and an additional hold of over $500 USD has remained on my card for two weeks. I have repeatedly tried to resolve this issue by contacting the hotel through Booking.com, emailing every available email address I could find, and reaching out through social media. Despite all these efforts, I have still not received a satisfactory explanation or a proper resolution. Having more than $1,000 USD charged or tied up on my credit card following a one-night stay, without a clear explanation of the transactions, is completely unacceptable. I understand that hotels may require security deposits, but guests deserve transparency, timely communication, and the prompt release of funds when a hold is no longer justified. The lack of response is just as disappointing as the payment situation itself. I have travelled extensively and stayed at hotels around the world, but I have never had to spend so much time chasing a hotel simply to understand what has happened to my money. I am requesting a full explanation of both transactions, the immediate release of the outstanding hold, and a refund of any charges that cannot be properly justified. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that anyone considering staying here clarify the deposit and payment policy in advance and monitor their credit card carefully. Until the hotel takes responsibility for resolving this matter, I cannot recommend Hotel Angeleno. A hotel should not leave its guests chasing answers about hundreds of dollars for weeks after checkout.
