Bathroom cleanliness, tap water was dirty, there was a skylight in the room without a curtain, it got bright early with no possibility of rest, besides attracting insects

We had booked this property for 3 nights, after visiting Machu Picchu. Later, we added a night before the visit, during which we were assigned a semi-basement room. Upon our return from Machu Picchu, to our surprise, we were assigned the same room again, despite booking a different accommodation on Booking. We pointed out the problem to Mr. Mario at the reception, who rather rudely told us that if we were not satisfied, we could cancel the reservation. It was around 9 pm, we were with our two daughters and tired after a busy day. At that moment, we would have simply appreciated some availability and understanding. So, we asked to speak with the owner the next morning. Fortunately, upon waking up, we were informed that they would change our room. In the end, we were relatively uninterested in the room itself: what bothered us the most was how the situation was handled and, above all, the attitude of the reception. During our trip, both in Peru and Bolivia, we changed numerous accommodations and always found staff available and attentive to guests' needs. For this reason, we were particularly surprised and disappointed. Also, compared to the average of the accommodations where we stayed during the trip, breakfast seemed rather disappointing. It's a shame because with a more helpful and friendly attitude from the reception, our experience would surely have been better.
