On one of the days of our stay, my spouse and I were at the pool, where there is a bar. An American guest approached the counter, and the bartender promptly asked, “Would you like another of the same drink?” When the guest said yes, the bartender prepared it. Since the drink was not listed on the menu and this is a five-star all-inclusive hotel, I asked for the same one. At that point, I thought the bartender might not have heard me, so I moved closer to confirm my request. Oddly enough, the bar was empty at that exact moment, yet I was still not served. Shortly afterward, other guests arrived — all of whom appeared to be heterosexual — and the bartender served them promptly, showing particular preference toward the women. When he could no longer continue ignoring me, I said that I would like the same drink he had prepared for the previous guest. The bartender replied that he could only make drinks listed on the menu. When I insisted, he told me that the ingredients for that drink were unavailable. Given the situation, I went to the front desk to file a complaint about what I considered to be a clear act of homophobia. The bar manager was called and came to the area. The bartender was removed for only a short time, but soon returned to work as usual at the same bar. In addition, the manager offered tequila as compensation. Later that day, two shots of tequila were delivered to our room — something we could have requested at any bar in the hotel. In addition to this unfortunate incident, there are many cockroaches around the hotel, including on the decks and in the rooms. This may also explain the large number of iguanas on the property. At night, the walkways are poorly lit, and you may encounter these animals along the way. The hotel does not allow ride-hailing vehicles to enter through the gardens to pick guests up at the hotel entrance. As a result, even with luggage, guests must walk across the gardens to meet their driver.

The elevator did not work for four days and created a terrible bottleneck for customers going up and down to the rooms practically all day. In addition, the elevators do not have air conditioning and smell bad.
