As a family, we chose this hotel primarily for the pool. Sadly, both the wave pool and lazy river were very cold. On top of that you have to pay to use an inner tube in the lazy river. And the pool had the smallest waves I’ve ever seen in a wave pool. It was not even fun. Our check-in was delayed 90 minutes only to find the room was on the third floor with the view of a roof with an air conditioning unit and a satellite dish. As well as trash laying on the roof. We were given a $75 food and credit bill to make up for the long wait check-in, but it wasn’t added to our check out bill so we now have to deal with that. There are so many great hotels on the strip. Considering Mandalay Bay is definitely not convenient, I would never stay here again especially for the use of their pool.

Pools are cold, small, extremely crowded with children, no working hot tubs, no bubbles, one with bubbles was very small and there was no room because children were cold and stayed in the hot tub. It was filled to the brim. The lazy river only has one option for the tubes- buying them at the gift shop for $30 each. The wave pool had only ONE wave, it was very small and disappointing. These amenities are mostly used for parents to babysit their children while those gamble. If you need a lavish experience- it is not the choice.

Nice but quite expensive. You will need to pay extra if you want to use the mini fridge. Watch out for resort fees that are in addition to your room rate and taxes. I didn't use anything to trigger this fee and, therefore waiting for my $300 refund. It's been almost 30 days. After reaching out, they indicate this refund could be 30-45 days, which is excessive IMO

We paid days ahead of time for late checkout and the process to confirm checkout time was exhausting affair on our last day in Vegas souring the experience. The phone in our room did not work so we could not call the front desk. The line at the front desk was 20-40 people deep at all times. We tried calling from our cell phones only to be put on hold for over an hour with no one answering or hung up on. finally, we got through to someone via chat and they confirmed 3:00. At 2:30, I get a call while gambling at one of your craps tables wondering rudely why I hadn’t checked out. I explained I purchased late Checkout in advance and they claimed they couldn’t see it. For guests who spent a not insignificant amount of money at your hotel, this felt like a let down in the great customer service we have come to expect from MGM.

Everything takes a lot of time and cost a lot. Old room with old towels. Unauthorized charges to my room. I am sure you can fix them, but it will take 50 minutes of your day. Misleading survey.

TERRIBLE PLACE! I will never go back. While the hotel is clean and modern, guests are treated like cattle. Nickel and dime you for everything. Example, you can buy a bottle of water at the vending machine in the hotel for $3.00; when you take that bottle of water to the pool, they pour it out and expect you to pay $8.00 for another bottle of water. The pools are beautiful, but so crowded and oversold that if you are not at the pool when it opens at 8:00 a.m. forget it. You will NOT find a chair to sit in. Forget about the lazy river. You have to pay $30.00 in the gift shop for an intertube. Any guest that won't pay for a float can just walk around and around in the lazy river. The people that paid for floats just bang into the people walking in the river. It is insane. The food you can purchase is poor and out of sight expensive. If you were lucky enough to find a chair, no one will serve you because there are 2000 people there and about four servers. I will never come back to Mandalay Bay. I did not feel welcome or appreciated.

I never take the time to write reviews unless the experience it top notch or the opposite. In this case, it is the latter. When we arrived and checked in, we left our vehicle at valet and went to the receptionist. Mind you, it was 2:30pm and our room was not available yet, despite the website saying check in is at 3pm. Which is fine. We were told we’d receive a text once our room was ready. Then, they proceeded to tell us that we’d be staying at the W, next door, and if we want to move our vehicle, we can take it there ourselves. The receptionist also told us we can leave our luggage at bell hop right next to them, and that the would take out luggage to our room once we have that available. We did just that. Instead of moving our car, we decided to take a walk since it had been a long trip. Hours passed and no text message. We finally called the hotel (which I’ll tell you is an undertaking in itself to get a hold of someone) and they mentioned our room was ready and a text had been sent. No text was received. When we finally got to the room, at the W (which is where they switched us to from my original Mandalay Bay reservation), I called bell hop. The W bell hop had never received my items from the Mandalay bell hop and i would have to wait 30 minutes until my items arrived. The entire check in process was a nightmare and the most complex process I’ve experienced. The room itself was basic. Two of the phones in the room - one didn’t work at all; and the other you could barely hear out of, and when you used speaker, it just made a bunch of noise. The hotels alright, but the service needs some vast improvement. I personally would have stayed elsewhere, but I heard this was really one of the only ones that were kid friendly. So choices were limited.

Great stay! The room was spacious and the staff was helpful! Thank you to Michael who helped us and even upgraded our room! The wave pool was a blast for my nieces and we had a wonderful time exploring. Would definitely stay here again!
