We had paid €1,944 for six nights at Alaya Beachfront Tulum, thinking we would stay in a luxury suite as described in the ad. However, the room did not correspond at all to this category: its general condition, maintenance, and amenities were very disappointing. We left the hotel after only two nights due to numerous cleanliness, maintenance, equipment, and service issues, but especially for security reasons as the lock had been forced and not repaired. We had to find another hotel and pay for the remaining four nights again, significantly increasing the cost of our stay. The door and its locking system were heavily damaged, which made us fear for our safety. The property was not secure enough, as access was open from both the street and the beach. Furthermore, the beach bar, presented in the photos as a paradise-like space, was closed during our stay. Housekeeping was not done on the second day, and towels were not replaced. Despite the photos, videos, and reports submitted during the stay, we did not receive a refund for the unused nights. Considering the price paid, the additional expenses incurred to find another hotel, the condition of the room, the lack of security, and the unavailable services, we absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

The accommodation is located directly on the beach and looks quite nice from the outside. Yoga is offered, which we liked.

Peace and relaxation were hardly possible due to a large construction site right next to the facility. In addition, the beach was heavily affected by seaweed, for which the hotel is naturally not responsible. The breakfast did not convince us in terms of selection or quality. The rooms were generally clean but very simply furnished – no refrigerator, no kettle, and hardly any options to prepare drinks. Unfortunately, compared to the other accommodations during our Yucatán tour, this facility did not convince us.

The location was perfect—close to everything while still feeling peaceful and surrounded by nature. The beach was breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters.
