The place is spectacular and very peaceful, if it wasn't for the sargassum that turned the turquoise sea into dark brown. It would have been a paradise. Fortunately, they always cleaned up the accumulated seaweed on the sand early in the morning. Nevertheless, the beachfront room was great. The staff was very friendly and we even had the surprise of witnessing the nesting of two turtles and the release of baby turtles by volunteers (one of them was the hotel's night watchman, Luis). Thanks for everything, we felt very comfortable, like at home!

Just be aware that there is no breakfast - not a problem though as plenty of cafes/shops nearby. Also, be aware that you can't really go in the sea because of the seaweed - this didn't bother us at all.

Room was large and facing the ocean, right by the beach. The large balcony on the second floor made it awesome to enjoy the view. There is also a rooftop terrace on the 3rd floor to enjoy the stars at night or for more privacy enjoying the sun and tanning during the day. Sleeping with the windows open made it so fun to sleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, and having some wind during the night. The vibe of the hotel is as shown in the pictures. Fun, relaxed, and unpretentious. We loved it. The beach was small, cozy, and uncrowded. Nice restaurant options within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. There was free parking available right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient considering parking space is a challenge in Tulum and quite expensive. Wonderful turtle egg-laying experience at night right in front of the hotel. Sea turtles came every night to lay their eggs, and hatchlings from one nest came out to reach the ocean (we were there in mid-August). We loved our stay and would gladly go back again (despite the sargassum, see below).

Minor improvements: - Roof needs to be checked to fix minor water infiltration during rain. - Fridge is basic and upgrading to a model with a small freezer would have been highly useful. As with all beaches in Tulum, we had to deal with a massive sargassum problem, which made swimming in the ocean not really possible. The water was all brown and the beaches were loaded with tons of sargassum. Tulum's beach cleanup staff came almost every morning to pick it up, but more sargassum kept coming to the point that significant quantities were already accumulating on the beach before the staff was even done picking up what was already there. Watch out for sargassum season before booking.

Nothing! But be aware of sargassum in the summer, then you cannot swim in the sea.

I would not recommend visiting this beach area during the summer, as the sea conditions make swimming impossible. The hotel is significantly overpriced; you would be much better off staying in the city center for half the cost. Additionally, there was a persistent cleanliness issue, with cockroaches appearing in my room a few times during my stay.

I had to book this hotel again as they did not answer any of my original emails. When we arrived, they did not have a balcony room which I had booked. The AC in the room did not work and the bed was rock hard. The bugs were so bad that we could not spend time on the beach so we left and purchased time at another hotel. I would like my money back.

AC was not working. Beach was not accessible. I booked twice and the manager would not refund my money. And then the day we left there was no one in the office so we finally just left without talking to anybody.

Air conditioning malfunctioned on the first day. But compensated by the kindness of the staff who lent us fans while the repair was being done.
