Location was great
Location was great
No dressers or night stands or anywhere to store unpacked items. Meaning you can't unpack at all and must live unorganized out of a suitcase on the floor.
The breakfast was good, lots of choice

Felt valet parking was really expensive
AC New Orleans is in a great location. The rooms were clean and updated. Comfortable. Lots of confusion on parking though. We were told one thing when we checked in, but then when we tried to check out they told us a different price. Also, we were leaving early to get on the road (6:00AM) and there was no valet available and it took almost an hour to get the car. The desk told us they farmed out the parking to a different vendor and so weren't responsible. Be sure to make all arrangements for parking upfront. Made for a sour end to our stay there.

I recently stayed at the AC Hotel Marriott French Quarter for three nights. While check-in was smooth and the room looked fine initially, our overall experience was very frustrating due to poor service and unexpected comfort issues. The absolute highlight of our stay was the bartender, Casey. She was friendly, professional, quick with drinks, and wonderfully personable. She gave us great local recommendations, and seeing her every day was a genuine joy amidst an otherwise disappointing stay. Their stated policy is housekeeping every other day, which was fine by us. However, housekeeping never came once during our entire 3-night stay. By day two and three, trash was piling up, beds were unmade, and we were out of fresh towels. On night three, right before a dinner reservation, we called the desk for towels. After waiting 20 minutes, I had to go to the lobby and wait another 10 minutes to finally get them. The staff member working the front desk, a woman with brown hair, mentioned she was working alone. While I empathize with being understaffed, her overall response felt completely indifferent. Starting the first night, I experienced severe allergy symptoms: a runny nose, sneezing, coughing, watery eyes, and puffy eyelids. Strangely, the friends I was traveling with, staying in completely separate rooms on different floors, experienced the exact same symptoms. We were completely fine during the day while out in the city, but the moment we were in our rooms, the symptoms flared up so badly we had to walk to CVS for medication. It leads us to believe there may be an underlying issue with the air filtration or HVAC system. When checking out, I brought these issues to the attention of a front desk agent with light blonde hair. She barely made eye contact while I was speaking and simply said she’d "call housekeeping" and add some Bonvoy points to my account. Overall, for a Marriott property, the lack of basic room maintenance, indifferent front desk service, and air quality issues made for an uncomfortable stay, even if the bar service was a bright spot. I wouldn't recommend staying here until these service and facility issues are addressed.
